Big V Names Product Manager
upermarkets here has named Mark Capicotto product manager for frozen foods and dairy. He succeeds Charlie Moro, who left the company.
Capicotto will be responsible for creating and developing all merchandising and marketing plans for frozen food and dairy departments at store level. He reports to Steve Stessel, vice president of sales and merchandising. Capicotto has been with Big V for 16 years in various capacities. He was most recently a product specialist in the grocery division.
Big V is a member of Wakefern Food Corp., Elizabeth, N.J., and operates 31 supermarkets under the ShopRite banner, primarily in the Hudson Valley Region of New York state.
Southeast Frozen Appoints VP
MIAMI -- Southeast Frozen Foods here has named Gary Cogswell vice president of sales.
Cogswell, who joined the company earlier this year, previously served in various sales and marketing positions with Malone & Hyde for eight years. Prior to that, he had been with Supervalu for 22 years. Cogswell succeeds Bill Knecht, who left the company.
Southeast is a frozen food wholesaler with six warehouses and a marketing area of 18 Southeastern states.
Managers Added at Luigino's
DULUTH, Minn. -- Luigino's here has named James D. Lane and John Denser zone sales managers for the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, respectively. Both are new positions for the company.
Lane, formerly U.S. retail sales manager for the frozen potato products division of Cavendish Farms, directs sales activities for all Luigino's brands in the Boston, New York, Albany, Syracuse and Buffalo markets. Denser, previously a regional sales manager for Brigham's, directs sales in the Baltimore-Washington, Philadelphia and Harrisburg markets.
