has been named president and chief executive officer of Affiliated Food Stores here.

Formerly executive vice president and chief operating officer, Rippley succeeds 53-year industry veteran Darold Anderson, who retired last month to spend more time with his family, Affiliated reported.

Rippley joined Affiliated in 1989 as senior vice president and chief financial officer. Anderson, named president and CEO four years ago, joined the company in 1964 and has served as executive vice president, chief operating officer and president.

VP Plans to Leave Roundy's

PEWAUKEE, Wis. -- Thomas Loggia, corporate vice president of wholesale, is slated to leave Roundy's here Dec. 31.

Loggia, with Roundy's two years, has accepted a leadership post with the Centers for Excellence, a new subsidiary of McDonald's Corp.

Ralph Beketic and Michael Schmitt will take over Loggia's duties. Beketic, president of the Milwaukee division and corporate vice president of the Wisconsin region, will become corporate vice president of wholesale. Schmitt, corporate vice president of sales and development, will oversee all of Roundy's corporate supermarkets.

Winn-Dixie Names Division Heads

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Winn-Dixie Stores here last week named two division heads.

Dan G. Lafever, formerly president of the 87-unit Midwest division, was named president of the 102-unit Orlando, Fla., division. He succeeds Ron Buday, who has taken medical leave. James A. Schlosser, retail operations superintendent for the Midwest division's Thriftway stores, succeeds Lafever.
