Hy-Vee Appoints Assistant VP
Ken Waller has made an officer of Hy-Vee Food Stores here, in the new position of assistant vice president of Hy-Vee.
Waller is president of PDI, a subsidiary of Hy-Vee that distributes meat, eggs, ice cream and other perishable products. He retains that position.
Waller reports to Ron Pearson, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Hy-Vee.
Pork Producers Name Marketer
DES MOINES, Iowa -- John Hagerla has joined the National Pork Producers Council as director of retail marketing. He is responsible for the Council's marketing initiatives in supermarkets.
Hagerla had been the director of retail processed sales and marketing for American Foods Group, Green Bay, Wis.
He succeeds Mike Laurent, who is now a regional manager, and reports to Joe Leathers, assistant vice president of trade and distribution.
