Campbell Joins Fleming as Executive VPeek J.R. Campbell has been named executive vice president, merchandising and supply. Campbell joins the company from his position as president, global sourcing division for Wal-Mart Stores, Bentonville, Ark. Campbell will join Fleming early in 2002. In his new position, Campbell will lead Fleming's central procurement, merchandising and supply chain management.

eek J.R. Campbell has been named executive vice president, merchandising and supply. Campbell joins the company from his position as president, global sourcing division for Wal-Mart Stores, Bentonville, Ark. Campbell will join Fleming early in 2002. In his new position, Campbell will lead Fleming's central procurement, merchandising and supply chain management. He will report directly to Mark Hansen, chairman and chief executive officer.

The company also said it has named Ron Griffin executive vice president and chief information officer. Joining the company in early 2002, he will also report to Hansen. Previously, Griffin was senior vice president and chief information officer for The Home Depot, Atlanta.

Wild Oats Founders Resign From Board

BOULDER, Colo. -- Wild Oats Markets here said last week Michael C. Gilliland and his wife, Elizabeth C. Cook, have resigned from its board, effective Dec. 6. Gilliland and Cook founded Wild Oats in 1987 with the purchase of a natural and organic food store in Boulder and built the chain over the years into a national chain of more than 100 natural food stores in the United States and Canada. Cook was executive vice president of the company until May. Gilliland stepped down as chief executive officer earlier this year. Perry Odak, who joined Wild Oats in March as president and chief executive officer, will remain in that position.

Bruno's Names Mason VP

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Bruno's Supermarkets here said it has promoted Racquel Harris Mason to vice president of marketing. Mason's most recent position was director of marketing for the company.

The company also said it promoted W. Blake Wright to vice president of finance. Previously, Wright served as director of treasury.

Albertson's Names Hill to Board

BOISE, Idaho -- Albertson's here said it has named Bonnie G. Hill to its board, effective Jan. 1. Hill recently retired from her positions as president and chief executive officer, Times Mirror Foundation, Los Angeles.
