JITNEY-JUNGLE STORES OF AMERICA, JACKSON, MISS., said R. Barry Cannada, the company's chief administrative officer, has resigned to accept a position at another Jackson-based company. Jitney-Jungle said a successor should be announced in the near future. Until then, Cannada will assist the management team as a full-time consultant.

Bi-Lo also said it appointed Pat Curran to the new position of senior vice president of perishables. Curran had been vice president of sales and marketing since 1995. In another move, Ron Hall has been named to the new position of senior vice president of perishables. Hall had been Bi-Lo's vice president of grocery marketing.
Also, the company named Gary Rawlings vice president of marketing. He had been director of corporate new business development at Kraft Foods, Chicago.
