WAL-MART STORES, BENTONVILLE, ARK., said last week Allan L. Leighton, president and chief executive officer of its Asda Group in the United Kingdom, is taking on additional responsibility for Wal-Mart's operations in Germany. The company said Leighton will remain based at Asda headquarters in Leeds, England.
