Grand Union Fills VP Slot
Union Co. here said it has named Gary B. Duncan corporate vice president of human resources. The post has been vacant since March, when Gilbert Vuolo, senior vice president of human resources, left the company.
Duncan, 46, spent the last year as vice president of human resources for Genuardi's Family Markets, Norristown, Pa. Prior to that he spent 28 years with Vons Cos., Arcadia, Calif., now a division of Safeway, Pleasanton, Calif., where he was director of compensation, management and training when he left.
Fleming Appoints Senior VP for HR
OKLAHOMA CITY -- Fleming Cos. here said that Scott Northcutt has been appointed senior vice president of human resources. He reports to Mark Hansen, chairman and chief executive officer of Fleming Cos.
Northcutt was vice president of the People Group for the Sam's Club division of Wal-Mart Supercenters, Bentonville, Ark.
He succeeds Craig Grant, senior vice president for organizational strategies and development. Grant has left the company.
