Vons Names Meat Division VP
rt F. Smith has been named vice president of the meat division at Vons Cos. here, succeeding Allen W. Miller, who left the company.
Smith is responsible for overall management of the company's meat and seafood operations. He reports to Robert J. Kelly, executive vice president of retailing.
He was previously vice president of the company's drug store division, a position he held for eight months. Before that he had been vice president of grocery and frozen food for two years.
Smith joined Vons as a box boy in 1961.
Norbest's Loderhose in New Post
SALT LAKE CITY -- Norbest Inc. has named Peter Loderhose national sales manager for its further processed division, a new position.
Previously, Loderhose was national sales manager of fresh meat sales and marketing for Dubuque, Iowa-based Dubuque Foods, a pork processor and manufacturer.
In his new post, Loderhose reports to Jack Sandbridge, Norbest's director of sales.
Norbest is a turkey processor and marketing cooperative.
Tuscan Names Stigi Senior VP
UNION, N.J. -- Tuscan Dairy Farms has named Peter A. Stigi senior vice president of marketing and sales, a new position.
He joined the company in 1986 as vice president of marketing and sales. His new title reflects expanded responsibilities, including those related to his former title, a company spokesman said. Stigi reports to Michael Marcus, president and chief operating officer.
