ALBERTIAN RESIGNS AS PRESIDENT, C&S WHOLESALEhere said Ed Albertian has resigned as president and chief operating officer after three years with the company. In a prepared statement released by C&S, Albertian said he was leaving to "focus on his family." A C&S spokesman told SN that Albertian's responsibilities would be handled by other senior executives and that no search was under way for a replacement.

Albertian was one of the founders of Staples, Framingham, Mass., and also worked for Star Market, Cambridge, Mass., and Streamline.com, Westwood, Mass., before joining C&S in 2001.

BJ'S NAMES CORCORAN SR. VP, MEMBER INSIGHT

NATICK, Mass. -- BJ's Wholesale Club here said it has named Alison Gregg Corcoran to the newly created position of senior vice president, director of member insight. She will be responsible for management and analysis of the wholesale club's membership data, among other duties. Most recently, she had served as a consultant to BJ's.

IRI NAMES KLEIN PRESIDENT, CEO

CHICAGO -- Information Resources Inc. here last week said it named Scott W. Klein president and chief executive officer. Before joining IRI, Klein was president of the Consumer Industries & Retail business for Electronic Data Systems Corp., Plano, Texas, and before that was involved in electronic commerce businesses. Klein replaces Joseph Durrett, who has left the company, an IRI spokesman said.
