HAM, PENICK PROMOTED TO SVP AT FOOD LION
s named Meg Ham senior vice president of retail operations and Derrick Penick senior vice president of merchandising and distribution. Ham and Penick will report to Cathy Green, Food Lion's chief operating officer, the company said. In her new position, Ham oversees Food Lion's five retail operations divisions. She joined Food Lion in 2000 after more than 10 years at Hannaford Bros., and most recently served as senior vice president for dry merchandising for Food Lion. Penick most recently was senior vice president of fresh merchandising and distribution for Food Lion. He joined Food Lion earlier this year from King Soopers, the Denver-based banner operated by Kroger, where he served as vice president of merchandising.
