MARSH NAMES FIVE VICE PRESIDENTS
ets here has promoted five directors to vice presidents. All continue to hold their previous responsibilities. Christopher Banta, formerly the director of grocery merchandising, was promoted to vice president, grocery merchandising. He oversees all merchandising and procurement for grocery, frozen food and dairy, including direct-store delivery. Richard Clevenger, formerly director of engineering and maintenance, was promoted to vice president, engineering and maintenance. He is responsible for construction, procurement and maintenance for all retail facilities. Rick Hall, formerly director of treasury operations, was promoted to vice president, treasury operations. He is responsible for all treasury functions, including risk management and financial reporting. David Herbers, formerly the director of general merchandising and health and beauty care merchandising, was promoted to vice president, general merchandise and health and beauty care merchandising. He is responsible for merchandising of all nonedible products for all stores. Kent Tapley, formerly the director of deli/bakery food service, supermarket division, was promoted to vice president, deli/bakery food service, supermarket division. He is in charge of all merchandising in the deli/bakery food-service departments for all stores.
