PATCH NAMED VP OF SAVE MART'S FOODMAXX STORES

here last week said it has named Art Patch vice president of the company's 40-unit FoodMaxx banner. He previously had been vice president, operations, Save Mart. He began his career with Safeway, Pleasanton, Calif., where he spent 20 years before joining Lucky Stores, which has since been acquired by Albertsons, Boise, Idaho. He also served as president and chief executive officer, Appletree Markets, Houston, and as a food-industry consultant before joining Save Mart in 1992. Patch succeeds -- and now reports to -- Bob Spengler, who was promoted to president and chief operating officer of Save Mart in June.

NASH FINCH TAPS EULBERG TO HEAD UP HUMAN RESOURCES

MINNEAPOLIS -- Nash Finch here last week named Joe R. Eulberg senior vice president, human resources, reporting to Ron Marshall, chief executive officer. Eulberg joins Nash Finch from 7-Eleven Inc., where he was vice president of human resources. He has previously held various human resources and organizational development roles with Accor Economy Lodging, Anheuser-Busch and Pier 1 Imports.

FOOD LION NAMES DIXON TO OVERSEE HARVEYS CHAIN

SALISBURY, N.C. -- Food Lion here last week named Glenn Dixon to fill the newly created position of senior vice president of corporate development, overseeing the Harveys supermarket chain that was recently acquired by Food Lion's parent, Delhaize Group. Dixon, a 10-year Food Lion veteran, most recently held the title of vice president of store development and real estate, in which capacity he also directed Food Lion's indirect procurement efforts. Benny Ensley, chief operating officer, Harveys, now reports to Dixon.
