SOBEYS NAMES REITH CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER
last week said it has named Duncan Reith chief merchandising officer. He was formerly president of Sobeys' Ontario region. Succeeding him in that position is Craig Gilpin, who is joining Sobeys from another Canadian food retailer, where he had spent the past 15 years. Sobeys declined to identify his previous employer.
CPG COMPANY VETERAN KELLY LEAVES KMART
TROY, Mich. -- Janet Langford Kelly, former senior vice president and chief administrative officer, Kmart Corp. here, has left the company to pursue other interests, she told attendees during a presentation at the Western Michigan University Food Marketing Conference here last week. Kelly previously had worked in the legal departments of Sara Lee Corp., Chicago, and Kellogg Co., Battle Creek, Mich. Kmart could not be reached for further comment.
