Ralphs Grocery Co., Compton, Calif., said Dave Ackerman has been named vice president of produce and floral. Ackerman, who was most recently director of produce marketing, reports to Chuck Ackerman (no relation), group vice president of the perishables division. Ackerman succeeds Kerry Hodges, who retired after 25 years with Ralphs.

Brookshire also said Ronnie Horton has been appointed senior vice president of retail operations. He was senior vice president of the Western division.
The company also said John Penn has been named senior vice president of the Western division. He was senior vice president for communications.
