.) and Pathmark.

The event, which will be sponsored by the Jewish Historical Society of MetroWest, will feature original photographs of area mom-and-pop businesses and galleries devoted to New Jersey's supermarket history, including local manufacturers and distributors, according to curator Linda Forgosh. The program will highlight 70 years of supermarket advertisements, memorable television promotions and jingles, and supermarket community involvement.

The exhibition will present a replica of a 1930s mom-and-pop grocery store complete with grocer grabbers, ice tongs, wooden manufacturer's crates, cash register, advertising fans, food aromas and shelves stocked with product in original packaging.

The program will run from Sept. 9 to Nov. 19 at the Jewish Community Center, Alex Aidekman Family Campus, Whippany.
