SAN FRANCISCO — Bristol Farms, the upscale chain that Supervalu, Minneapolis, acquired when it bought most of Albertsons last year, recently opened its first store in this city, a location in the lower level of the Westfield San Francisco Centre mall. The store features a strong floral department, a hot nut bar, a sushi center and a cold seafood salad bar. The store focuses on prepared foods and has a minimal grocery offering. Last week, the Los Angeles-based chain opened its 15th location in Palm Desert, Calif.
