Publix Super Markets' ongoing support has been stellar from the start, ranging from participation in FICAH's Food For All program raising $4.5 million to nearly $90,000 in grants from Publix Supermarket Charities. In addition, Publix has had a place on FICAH's board of trustees beginning with Mark Hollis and, most recently, with Ed Crenshaw, president, Publix Supermarkets.
Each of the four Publix divisions consistently receives FICAH's Annual POP Awards that distinguish the retailer's commitment and service to anti-hunger programs. Publix was the first recipient of FICAH's Annual Retailer of the Year Award, honoring its charitable anti-hunger efforts and service to the food industry.
Through its outstanding dedication and commitment, Publix has set a precedent of fighting hunger within its communities. Publix's leadership on FICAH's board and continuing support of the Food For All program has contributed to the improvement in the lives of thousands of people in need and the communities in which they live.
