Oshawa Group, Etobicoke, Ontario, said net income rose 22.6% for the year ended Jan. 27 to $47.8 million U.S. (at an exchange rate of $1.36 Canadian to $1 U.S.) and 43.2% for the fourth quarter to $13.8 million. Sales for the year rose 1.5% to $4.52 billion but fell 5.5% for the quarter to $1.03 billion. Fiscal 1996 was a 52-week year with a 12-week fourth quarter, while fiscal 1995 was a 53-week year with a 13-week fourth quarter.
