FLEMING NAMES NEW CFO IN REALIGNMENT

DALLAS -- Fleming Cos. here last week unveiled a series of management changes, effective in February 2003, that it said would help it drive sales and increase efficiencies. The company named Neal Rider executive vice president, business and operations development, a newly created post. He currently is chief financial officer. DALLAS -- Fleming Cos. here last week unveiled a series of management changes, effective in February 2003, that it said would help it drive sales and increase efficiencies. The company named Neal Rider executive vice president, business and operations development, a newly created post. He currently is chief financial officer. In his new position, he will be responsible for building sales, advancing procurement and facilitating cost-cutting. Supporting him in those activities will be Matt Hildreth, who was named senior vice president, business development, and Chris Walsh, vice president, marketing, convenience distribution. Hildreth most recently was senior vice president, finance, and treasurer. Succeeding Rider as CFO will be Mark Shapiro, who currently is senior vice president, finance and control.
