He also said the three associations will discuss "whether it might be a good idea to broaden our future meetings to include suppliers from the three countries. We've been talking for the most part about standards for retailers and wholesalers, but it may be time to talk as a group of trading partners that includes suppliers."

Hammonds said the group does not have a formal name, "although internally we've been calling it the NAFTA Standards Group," he explained.
