The first few chapters discuss how to perceive risks and formulate defensive measures by forming a crisis-management team at corporate, store and distribution levels.
Other chapters discuss planning for such emergencies as power failures, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, earthquakes, civil disturbances, strikes, extortion, kidnapping, bomb threats, product tampering and recalls.
Charles I. Miller, vice president of loss-prevention services at the FMI, said the manual will benefit companies of all sizes.
