HOWELL, N.J. -- Store expansion and remodeling will continue to drive the business for Foodarama Supermarkets, Joseph Saker, chairman and president, told shareholders at its annual meeting here last week.
ish on ice, expanded international food sections and in-store pharmacies and banks. The new stores, larger and better-located according to Saker, will replace outdated stores of less than 39,000 square feet.
"These stores offer a great shopping experience for our customers. Our customers love them," Saker told SN. "They work for us and we are going to stay the course."
Foodarama last week opened a new store in Wall Township, N.J., which replaced its former store about a mile away in Brielle.
Saker also said the company had increased its borrowing capacity as part of a loan renegotiation reached in February.
