FREEHOLD, N.J. -- Foodarama Supermarkets here, a Wakefern Food Corp. member operating 26 ShopRite stores, has paid a fine of $322,410 for violations of child labor laws at 11 stores in Monmouth and Ocean counties, the U.S. Department of Labor said.

The company has agreed to a series of steps to ensure compliance with labor laws at its stores, including offering training to store managers, providing color-coded name tags that identify employees who are minors, and requiring that underage workers attend an orientation meeting where they are advised on labor restrictions, the Labor Department added.
