FREEHOLD, N.J. -- Foodarama Supermarkets here said a significant increase in promotional activity was largely responsible for boosting sales for the second quarter and the 26 weeks ended May 1.
Net income rose 46.1% to $377,000 for the quarter but declined 14.1% to $912,000 for the first half. Operating cash flow rose 43.8% to $4.9 million for the second quarter of 1999 and rose 28.2% to $10.0 million year to date.
