HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J. -- The Eastern Perishable Products Association here has chosen John Fugazzie, a veteran of the retail food industry, as its new executive director. He succeeds Marvin Spira who, after 10 years, has left to form his own consulting/food marketing firm [see "Long-Time EPPA Executive Director Announces Departure," SN, Dec. 11, 2000].
al Foods, a Milwaukee manufacturer. Most recently, he was director of retail marketing, Ziff-Davis Co., a New York publishing company. Fugazzie officially took over the EPPA reins Feb. 12, but Spira will stay on until March 1 to facilitate the transition of leadership.
