CARLISLE, Pa. -- Giant Food Stores, an Ahold operating company, here said it has promoted Ron Domenick to vice president strategic initiatives and continuous improvement for it and Tops Markets, Williamsville, N.Y., another Ahold company. In his new position, Domenick will report to Peter Labbe, executive vice president of retail support, logistics and technology. Domenick will work with the Giant and Tops executive committees to develop a management culture; provide leadership on strategic business initiatives in conjunction with Ahold Netherlands, Ahold USA and within Giant and Tops; and assist leadership in both companies to take advantage of all the resources available to Ahold operating companies. Most recently, Domenick was vice president of shared services for sales and marketing for the Giant.
