Anaheim, Calif. -- About 550 food industry executives gathered at the Disneyland Hotel here for the 28th Annual Stars & Stripes Good Scout Award luncheon. The event is a benefit for the Orange County Council, Boy Scouts of America. Each year the Boy Scouts of America organizes the luncheon, which honors someone in the food industry who has demonstrated outstanding community service. This year, Fred Schuit, senior vice president of operations at Albertsons, received the 2005 Good Scout Award for his philanthropic work with various organizations, including the Boy Scouts, City of Hope and Muscular Dystrophy.
