TAMPA, Fla. -- Representatives from throughout the produce industry joined the St. Patrick's Day festivities last week with an evening outdoor reception to kick off the annual convention of the United Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Association. This year's theme for the Alexandria, Va.-based trade group was "Explore the Universe of Opportunity," focusing on issues affecting the post-consolidation marketplace. Certainly, those attending this night's activities were searching for that pot of gold.
