WATERTOWN, Mass. (FNS) -- Services were held here earlier this month for Haig Harotunian, retired vice president of general merchandise for the Star Market Co. Harotunian, 83, died Nov. 11 in Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge. Harotunian was a veteran of Boston-area retailing. He started with the W.T. Grant Co. in 1937 and ran his own store, Haig's Outlet, for a while. He worked for Star Market for 20 years in general merchandise and was named to the New England Housewares Association's Hall of Fame. He is survived by his wife, Virginia, and son, Gary.
