As part of NHDSC's campaign designating July as National Hot Dog Month, the brochure emphasizes the nutritional aspects of hot dogs and sausages for mothers worried about healthy eating.

Developed with the guidance of three experts on nutrition, meal planning and family eating, the brochures can be placed in refrigerated cases, on consumer information racks, or they can be distributed during in-store sampling, NHDSC suggests. Measuring 8 1/2 x 14 inches, the brochure can be reproduced on a copier or offset printer, and includes a space for retailers to place their logos.

To receive copies, retailers should write to ABCs Retail Version, NHDSC, P.O. Box 3556, Washington, D.C., 20007.
