HOUSTON -- Supermarkets in this area were the clear leaders in merchandising, promotion and pricing on the Feb. 28 release of Disney's "Pocahontas." About half the chains surveyed by SN in the Houston area were at the $16.95 minimum advertised price set by the studio. Only one retailer, the Auchan Hypermarket, was priced significantly below MAP, at $15.96. Even Sam's Club, which usually comes a solid increment below the other retailers, priced "Pocahontas" only a few cents lower at $16.75. ...
