CNET, San Francisco, said last week it would buy Web site MySimon.com in a stock deal valued at $700 million. MySimon, Santa Clara, Calif., offers consumers comparison shopping on products, including groceries, from more than 2,500 on-line merchants. CNET offers a similar service for electronic equipment and computers. The deal is set to close at the end of the first quarter.
