Meanwhile, Global Food Exchange has opened a new office in Paris to coordinate perishables supply chain management in Europe. IPNET SOLUTIONS, Newport Beach, Calif., has added Transact EZ Connect to its product line. Transact EZ Connect is a downloadable, pure Java client that enables a host company, usually a dominant buyer or supplier within a private supply chain or a public exchange, to rapidly connect and begin transacting business over the Internet with small- to mid-size partners. "With our new Java client, IPNet demonstrates its understanding of the needs of host organizations as well as those of their trading partners," said Ted Smykla, senior vice president of products. IPNet also said recently it will support the development of the Universal Description, Discovery and Integration standard as a UDDI adviser and community member. UDDI is the first cross-industry effort driven by platform and software providers, marketplace operators and e-business leaders. These technology and business pioneers are providing the catalyst to quickly develop the UDDI standard. Meanwhile, IPNet is now guaranteeing prospects that they will achieve a faster ROI (return on investment) using its B-to-B e-commerce solution in comparison with competitive offerings.
