Working through GNX, the retailer will use Manugistics' NetWorks program with trading partners Unilever (Lever-Faberge UK) and Kimberly-Clark Europe. "CPFR allows Sainsbury's to expand the collaborative work that we have been developing with our suppliers. It is an opportunity for Sainsbury's and our supplier partners to improve availability, reduce inventory and increase sales on all products, focusing on product ranges that have a significant impact on the end-to-end supply chain -- for example promoted products or seasonally impacted lines," said David Simister, supplier relations manager, Sainsbury's. GNX is the only retail exchange that has installed and has operational its CPFR application, with trading partners linked and ready to use the application, said Joe Laughlin, chief executive officer of GNX. This first collaboration will cover products in the health and beauty, baby care, and household categories.
