BLUE MARTINI SOFTWARE, San Mateo, Calif., a provider of e-business applications, has adopted the LoadRunner and WinRunner programs for internal performance testing and benchmarking from Mercury Interactive, Sunnyvale, Calif. In addition, Blue Martini has joined Mercury Interactive's E-Business Alliance program and will work with Mercury Interactive to develop tightly integrated testing and monitoring solutions. With these products, Blue Martini is able to provide pre-tested software with verified performance, reliability and scalability for business-to-consumer and business-to-business customers. "By providing solutions pre-tested using Mercury Interactive tools, Blue Martini enables our customers to both accelerate their deployment of Blue Martini software and ensure optimized system performance," said Paul Rosenblum, vice president, product marketing, Blue Martini Software. E.COM, Halifax, N.S., has added three major seafood companies that will participate in the group's collaborative investigation of e-commerce opportunities for the global seafood industry. Scandsea International AB, of Sweden, Youngs Bluecrest Seafood Limited of the U.K., and Sanford Limited, of New Zealand, have agreed to work with the original members of SeafoodAlliance.com to explore the potential of business-to-business electronic commerce. SeafoodAlliance.com is exploring the feasibility of a neutral seafood business exchange portal for the World Wide Web, and is currently in the investigative stages of its activities. "The commitment of Scandsea, Youngs Bluecrest, and Sanford means that we now have global representation in SeafoodAlliance.com, and our work can cover the conduct of the seafood business in all corners of the world," said Henry Demone, Chair of SeafoodAlliance.com. "We have significantly enhanced the possibility that SeafoodAlliance.com will develop an e-commerce business plan that makes the best sense for our industry."
