IDDA ELECTS NEW OFFICERS, NINE DIRECTORS

The appointment of a full slate of officers, and the election of nine board members, took place at IDDA's annual business meeting last month in Lincolnshire, Ill.

In addition to Lanning, IDDA named the following officers: executive vice president -- Bob Gilbert, president of Kaukauna Cheese Co., Kaukauna, Wis.; first vice president -- Ed Meyer, director of deli/seafood/carry out at Schnuck Markets, St. Louis; second vice president -- Don Nebhan, Southern zone manager at Land O'Lakes, Dallas; and treasurer -- Bob Bova, director of deli sales at Honeysuckle White division of Cargill, Springdale, Ark.

As IDDA president, Lanning succeeds Charlie Goodstein, director of business development at Bil-Mar Foods division of Sara Lee Corp., Zeeland, Mich.

Lanning, who has nearly 30 years of experience in the baking industry, joined Rich Products in 1971 as district sales manager. After holding several national sales management positions, he was named to his current position at Rich in 1992.

He is currently serving his third term on the IDDA board. He also is a member of IDDA's executive and long-range planning committees and chairs its bakery steering committee.

The following IDDA members were elected or re-elected to serve on the association's board of director until 1999: Dick Campbell, business manager at Schreiber Foods, Rockaway, N.J.; Jerry Dryer, president of Jerry Dryer Group, Northbrook, Ill.; Jim Finnerty, director of service deli/bakery at Abco Foods, Phoenix; Bob Kulpinski, president of Concept 2 Bakers, Minneapolis; Mike Learned, vice president of Midwest division at Churny Co., Northbrook Ill.; Ron Lott, executive vice president of Lott Marketing, Houston; Michael Materazo, director of marketing at Norseland, Stamford, Conn.; Howard Zemsky, president of Russer Foods, Buffalo, N.Y., and Dennis Lanning.
