MADISON, Wis. -- The International Dairy-Deli-Bakery Association here has published the data gathered in a survey, "Consumers in the Deli," which was highlighted at the trade association's annual seminar and exposition in Baltimore earlier this summer.

Some of the findings include that convenience is the No. 1 reason for shopping the deli. The study also shows that those with annual incomes lower than $20,000 were among the most frequent deli shoppers and that food's fat content is a major concern of consumers. (See SN, June 27.)
