CHICAGO -- Information Resources Inc. here has purchased a majority interest in Catalina Information Resources, Anaheim, Calif., its joint venture with Catalina Marketing, St. Petersburg, Fla. e not disclosed. As part of the transaction, IRI will fold into its organization the Quick Response Scan Network, an in-store system that collects daily point-of-sale scan data for sales tracking, replenishment and pay-for-performance activities. Currently the network is installed in 2,600 stores.
