WASHINGTON -- Durk Jager, executive vice president of all U.S. business for Procter & Gamble Co., Cincinnati, has been named co-chairman of the Efficient Consumer Response Executive Committee by the Grocery Manufacturers of America. He succeeds Richard Mayer, chairman and chief executive officer of Kraft General Foods North America, a division of Phillip Morris Cos., New York. Mayer had to give up the co-chairmanship when he retired from Kraft late last year.
