WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Kraft Foods Jell-O brand gelatin here is being packaged synergistically as part of the promotion for "The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie." Package colors and flavor names match those of the six Power Rangers, with Red Ranger Wild Strawberry, Yellow Ranger Lemon, Pink Ranger Watermelon, Black Ranger Berry Black, Blue Ranger Berry Blue and White Ranger Grape. In addition, free trading cards based on the movie are packed inside approximately five million Jell-O packages. The promotion is supported by extensive television and print advertising and a freestanding insert, which dropped nationally on June 4. The FSI featured a mail-in offer for Jigglers plastic movie-character molds. In addition, these molds and special recipes are available free to consumers at retail displays. Seven Up Co. continues its equity in the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers with a multilevel summer promotion based on the film. Between May 20 and Sept. 9, more than 500 million bottles, cans and multipack wraps will feature an on-pack burst with both an undercap and on-pack game piece instant-win opportunity for movie-inspired merchandise.
