These are traditionally high-volume sellers with consumers, said one local observer.
Other produce items included in the buy-one, get-one-free sale were 20-ounce packages of trimmed sweet corn priced at $2.99, 16-ounce packages of baby peeled carrots at $1.99, 8-ounce packages of mushrooms for $1.99, 16-ounce packages of celery hearts at $1.99, 12-ounce packages of romaine lettuce hearts for $2.99, and three-packs of caramel apples priced $2.99.
