TUCSON, Ariz.-Capping several years of planning, the Food Marketing Institute's Distribution Conference and the Grocery Manufacturers Association's Information Systems/Logistics Distribution (IS/LD) Conference were held together for the first time April 3-5 at the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort here. The conferences followed separate agendas on the first and last days but included some joint sessions on the middle day. Supply chain topics such as transportation, direct-store delivery, warehousing and ordering metrics were among those covered. A joint GMA/FMI reception was held the evening of the first day.
