GUADALUPE, Calif. -- Apio Inc., a packer and marketer of whole produce and fresh-cut vegetables, has named Bruce Knobeloch senior vice president of corporate development. As such, he is responsible for the formation of new products, as well as directing all marketing and e-commerce activities of the company, a subsidiary of Landec Corporation. Prior to this, Knobeloch was vice president of retail sales for Buyproduce.com, Irvine, Calif., a business-to-business e-commerce Web site; before that, he was director of produce for St. Louis-based Schnuck Markets.
