NORTHFIELD, Ill. -- Kraft Foods said last week it will begin printing new nutrition labels on multi-serving packages that reflect consumption information for the contents of the entire package. Also, the total number of servings will be stated on the front of the package. Responding to an industry-wide call to action by the Food and Drug Administration, Kraft set about redesigning its labels to better reflect realistic consumption patterns of its products, including Planters Big Bags; Nabisco cookies and crackers in Go-Paks! and Big Bag packages; and ready-to-drink beverages like Capri Sun Refreshers. Earlier this year, the company began offering snacks in small packages, such as its new Kraft Natural Cheese Sticks, Cracker Barrel Cheese Sticks and Planters nuts. Kraft's Nabisco division rolled out Nabisco 100 Calorie Packs.
