Cincinnati -- The Kroger Co. has added health-related content from Healthnotes, Portland, Ore., to its corporate and divisional web sites, the company said last week.

The Health Guide is available under the "Pharmacy & Health" link on Kroger's Web sites. The sites feature Healthchecker and Safetychecker from Healthnotes. Healthchecker answers commonly asked questions on more than 170 health concerns and provides information on vitamins, supplements and herbal remedies. Safetychecker provides information on more than 10,500 potential interactions between supplements and frequently used prescription and over-the-counter drugs.
"As more and more consumers turn to the Internet to research health and wellness, it is becoming increasingly important that they have trustworthy information available to them," said Schuyler Lininger, Healthnotes president and chief executive officer.
