CINCINNATI -- Kroger Co. here said Thomas B. Rech has been promoted to president of the Kroger marketing area in Nashville. He succeeds Mark Thompson, who recently retired after nearly 40 years with the company. Rech joined Kroger as a part-time store clerk in 1966 and has previously served as vice president of first the chain's Louisville division and then the Nashville division. He reports to Jim Thorne, senior vice president.
