ROCHESTER, Mich. -- Kroger Co., Cincinnati, last week opened a Fresh Fare supermarket here, its first store using that format in Michigan. international offerings, an expanded wine section with more upscale selections, more specialty foods like condiments and salad dressings, a Starbucks coffee station, and fresh sushi and lobster. Kroger recently said it would spend $185 million during the next three years to build, expand and remodel stores in Michigan.
