SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- A memorial service was held here for M. Dean Potts, a retired executive of Golub Corp. here, who died May 10. Funeral services were held earlier in Potts' hometown of Blairsville, Pa. He joined Golub, operators of Price Chopper Supermarkets, in 1981 and held the titles of senior vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer prior to retiring in 1990. He spent 29 years with A&P, Montvale, N.J., as secretary, vice president of finance and treasurer and subsequently was senior vice president of finance for First National Supermarkets, Hartford, Conn., before joining Golub. Potts was a former chairman of Food Marketing Institutes's Electronic Funds Transfer Committee and a member of the Committee to Develop a Uniform Grocery Product Code. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Vail Potts.
