LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- If you think that marketing, even electronic marketing, requires a dose of magic to work well, then the setting of this year's GEMCON (Global Electronic Marketing Conference) 2003 would seem appropriate. The conference, which focused on such topics as AMP (advertising, marketing and promotions), in-store electronic marketing, Internet marketing and CRM (customer-relationship marketing), took place Nov. 9 to 11 at Disney's Contemporary Resort here, right in the heart of the Magic Kingdom, also known as Disney World. Following the first day of presentations, attendees repaired to the exhibit room for some networking and refreshments. The conference was sponsored by Retail Systems Consulting, Naples, Fla.
