NEW YORK -- Three more supermarket chains have joined the ranks of stores offering their pharmacy shoppers the MediZine Guidebook, the drug-information resource.
permarkets, based in Pittsburgh.
May's Pharmacies, Tulsa, Okla., also signed with the publisher to distribute the guidebook.
Distributed at the pharmacy counter, the guidebook provides consumers with disease-specific information and details on drug-regimen compliance. MediZine is tailored to meet the needs of pharmacists and pharmacy customers.
It provides comprehensive news that is substantive and user-friendly, says the publisher. One-half of its readers report that they refer to an issue six times and expect to use it as an information resource for at least six months.
"We've had tremendous success with the guidebook," said Bruce Beni, president of MediZine. "MediZine reaches consumers when it's important and where it's important. The pharmacists have really embraced this program."
MediZine sponsors receive benefits that include direct response, sampling and couponing, appropriate editorial, database marketing, in-store promotion and direct access to pharmacists.
